Photo Shoots - June

In June we had a few opportunities for photo shoots, and here are the best results!

Our first photo shoot came because Olivia's Great Aunt Shirley painted this beautiful rocking chair for her with her name and a little girl. We have known about this chair for a while, but weren't able to see it until we moved to Oregon, so we were very excited. You never know how a toddler will respond, so I was thrilled that Olivia was as smitten with the chair as I was. She loves to point out all the letters (she only knows O and I at this point, but we're learning ;) ), and give the girl kisses. The chair resides in her room, right next to her bed, and whenever O isn't playing in it, she lets her bear keep her spot warm. I can't go on enough about how wonderful this rocking chair is, it will be cherished for a long time.

The other photo shoot was on Father's Day. We have a tradition of taking pictures with dad and the kids, so even though Olivia was less than cooperative, we made it happen.

She wouldn't smile for anything, but you can tell that Alex is giving it his best effort :)

The crinkled nose is how she smells...we practice 'smelling, not touching' the flowers a lot :).

The man of the hour...studying the backyard for potential picture opportunities.

We found a random yard with a good background, and tried again...still no smiles.

O did give some cute kisses though!

I thought for sure the golf cart would elicit grins, but as you can see, she was very serious about her driving responsibility as we drove to and from the golf course, where we took more pictures.

After giving up on getting the smiles, we went over to return the golf cart to the Butlers. At this point Olivia because all smiles, just proving that toddlers can have an attitude twice their size. I love this little girl, and we had a great Father's Day...even though the pictures show otherwise :).

  1. That rocking chair is so precious! And I LOVE the rocking chair kisses - doesn't get much cuter than that!
